GET TO KNOW THE PTO BOARD
Ashley Nelson
Ashley first got involved with Staff Appreciation when her oldest was in kindergarten and now marks her fourth year on the Board. She loves the countless ways we get to support BCE and how successful events like the Fun Run and Family Fun Night are for our school community. Her favorite thing about being involved with the PTO is its ability to provide opportunities to our school that would not otherwise happen. Ashley is married to Andy and together they have Annabelle (5th grade), Everleigh (3rd grade), and Reid (kindergarten), and Henry (dog). She loves to read, bake, organize, Peloton, spend weekends at their cabin, and attending Iowa State football games. Ashley works in Global Supply Chain Planning at Boston Scientific.
Becky Fluegge
This is Becky's third year on the Board and first as Co-President. She previously served as Secretary. She loves how the PTO has a direct and positive impact in the school. In a world full of "no", it's super fun that the PTO gets to say "yes, let's do it"! She's looking forward to deepening the engagement between parents, teachers and staff by, hopefully, inspiring everyone to get more involved. Becky is married to Brock and they have two boys, Cole (3rd grade) and Carson (1st grade). She's an avid sports fan, especially college football, and loves to travel, be on a lake somewhere, and host neighborhood parties. Becky works as a freelance account manager in experiential marketing and also owns A Full Glass Events, a wine entertainment and education business.
Robyn Vetter
This is Robyn's second year on the Board and her last since this is her youngest's last year at BCE. She wanted to learn more about the school their family was new to so she helped organize the Book Fairs. She says the best thing about the PTO is being able to positively contribute to the school and getting the know the staff better. Robyn is married to Brandon and they have two kids, Andrew (7th grade) and Allison (5th grade), plus birds and hamsters. She's an avid runner and "Peloton-er". Robyn and her family spent the last 15 years living in DC, Florida, Texas, North Carolina, and three moves within Texas all due to her husband's military service. They are excited to be settling in Chanhassen with no more moves or school changes. Robyn is also a Virtual Executive Assistant.
Jonathan Tishler
Jonathan got involved with the PTO during COVID and has served on the Board for four years. Each year he looks forward to contributing more for the school, kids and teachers so they have a great year. He loves being able to give donations back to the school. Jonathan is married to Sarah and they have two girls, Hailey (7th grade) and Natalie (4th grade). They are a very active family playing tons of sports including tennis and soccer. Fun fact about the Tishlers - they lived abroad for three years and made some amazing memories. Jonathan works as a Finance Manager at United Health Care.
Emily Harris
This will be Emily's second year on the Board. She had enjoyed volunteering at the Fun Run and the rollerskating unit in PE for a few years, so when she saw an opening for PTO Treasurer, she thought it'd be a great way to get more involved and meet new people! Emily is married to Brett and they have two children, Jacob (3rd grade) and Olivia (kindergarten), and a golden retriever, Jackson. She is excited to have both kids at Bluff Creek and on the same schedule this year! Emily enjoys staying active by running, cross country skiing, or taking classes at LifeTime, reading when she can find a spare minute, and traveling around with their camper in the summer. Emily works as a Retail Credit Supervisor for Hormel Foods.
Ciara Miller
Ciara is excited to begin her first year on the Board as Secretary. Previously, she has enjoyed volunteering at Bluff Creek Elementary for various events and supporting the yearbook. Ciara and her family—husband Andy, daughter Vaeda (3rd grade), and son Walden (Pre-K)—relocated to Minnesota from North Carolina in 2020. She is a recovering corporate HR professional (iykyk) who now dedicates her time to managing the Miller household. She loves boating, traveling, junior mints, volunteering in the community, and cheering for the Badgers!
